Participants will identify personal markers in the community they call home and map those markers into a path or story. Individual maps will be created as well as a scatter graph map for the group as a way of better understanding how a sense of belonging develops.
We will think about personal landmarks in the community– landmarks can be buildings, events, people, sounds, or parts of the natural environment that have contributed to their sense of place. A path is made by connecting the marks and becomes our story. We will work on one giant map together, or individual ones on transparent paper that can be layered.
