University of Iowa Museum of Art Programs for Maquoketa Community Schools Students

Monday, April 30-Thursday, May 3, 2012 and Monday, May 7, 2012

Dale Fisher, Curator of Education at the University of Iowa Museum of Art presented a variety of programs throughout the week to second graders through tenth graders. Programs included Graphic Novel and Comic Art, American Indian and First Peoples, and African Art. Through these programs, students saw and handled art while also learning about art history and diverse cultures. MAE was delighted to host this event in partnership with the University of Iowa and Maquoketa Community Schools.
