DESCRIPTION: David Stauffer Presents The Wonderful World of Art\nDavid Stauffer’s artwork will be on display during the months of November and December\, 2025 \nin the Osterhaus Family Gallery at Maquoketa Art Experience.\nAn Artists Reception will be held at Maquoketa Art Experience on Sunday\, December 7th from 5-7. \nThe public is invited and no RSVP is required.  \n                                                    \n           \n            \n                           \nDavid Lee Stauffer is a talented artist from Cedar Rapids. He has a degree in art from Arizona State University and studied art at the Cleveland Institute Art. David specializes in pencil drawing and watercolor painting. \nDavid has worked as a docent at the Cedar Rapids Art Museum\, the Czech & Slovak Museum\, and the Grant Wood Studio. He taught art at Kirkwood Community College and currently teaches watercolor painting classes for Cedar Rapids Parks & Recreation and the Eastern Iowa Arts Academy. \nDavid’s work has been displayed at DKW Art Gallery\, Marion\, Thou Art Gallery in Anamosa\, the Ladd Library in Cedar Rapids\, and Shops Above the Wapsi in Anamosa. \nStauffer enjoys painting landscapes\, seascapes\, animals\, birds\, old barns and design-oriented abstracts. He makes pencil portraits of people and pets. Over the past 20 years David has focused on developing a realistic approach to all kinds of subject matter integrating a mixed media technique utilizing pencil\, pen\, ink\, and watercolor or acrylic.
