Join us for an energetic afternoon of live performance as the University of Iowa’s Music Theatre Ambassadors take the stage at MAE on April 19 from 2–4 PM. This special event highlights the creativity, talent, and storytelling power of students dedicated to the craft of musical theatre.
The Music Theatre Ambassadors is a subgroup composed of students on the Music Theatre track at the University of Iowa Department of Theatre Arts. The mission of Music Theatre Ambassadors is to provide students the opportunity to perform for the Iowa community and to share their skills as actors, singers, dancers, storytellers, and music theatre artists.
While the group primarily focuses on musical theatre, their cabaret-style show usually explores both musical theatre and other musical genres in music and dance, emphasizing the evolving musical theatre landscape.
The Music Theatre Ambassadors are led by Mark Bruckner, Head of the Music Theatre Track and Resident Music Director, along with Michael C. Flores, MFA Directing candidate, who serves as Director and Choreographer of MTA.
