Community Mural Painting Workshops with Amanda Stout

Join Maquoketa Art Experience and artist Amanda Stout for a fun, family-friendly opportunity to help shape Maquoketa’s newest public art project. As part of Iowa’s Creative Places Accelerator program, Maquoketa is creating large mural maps on city-owned property that celebrate community identity, connection, and place. Amanda Stout, an Iowa City artist with more than 40 public art commissions across the country, has been selected to lead the project. Community input and participation are central to the mural design process. 

Bring your creativity and contribute to the mural at one of two community painting workshops:

• Tuesday, July 7 | 4–6 PM
  Maquoketa Farmers Market, Downtown Maquoketa

• Thursday, July 9 | 5–7 PM
  Maquoketa Art Experience, 124 S. Main St.

All ages are welcome. Help create a lasting piece of public art that reflects the spirit of Maquoketa while connecting neighbors through creativity and collaboration.
