An Artists Reception with Mary will be held on Saturday, December 14th from 2 – 4 pm. The reception is free and open to the public. 

Artists Statement:

“I am a freelance graphic designer and illustrator. I have been working from home since way before Covid.  When my youngest, Jane was in college she would occasionally text and ask, ‘What are you working on, Mama?’  I’d reply with photo.

That’s how the progress photos for the paintings in this show came into being. Some of the paintings have only two or three photos– I must have been painting during finals week.

I hope you enjoy seeing how the work came together. They are painted in pastel on 800 grit sand paper.”

Visiting Maquoketa Art Experience is always free and open-to-the-public.
