Ellen is a member of the Plein Air Painters of Dubuque’s (PPOD)s and the Arboretum Tuesday Painting Group. She earned her painting degrees from Clarke University and MA in Education from Viterbo University.
After teaching the visual arts K-12 at Dubuque Community Schools she has taught painting to 55 and older at Roberta Kuhn Center at Mt. Carmel BVM in Dubuque and the University of Dubuque.
She has won many awards through the Iowa Artists yearly competition and exhibited widely in group and solo exhibits.
She was a featured artist in Voices at the Warehouse in the Millwork District, Dubuque.
Ellen has competed in a number of plein air competitions including Bluffstrokes in Dubuque.
